Hilton Aims to Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

The College Station Hilton's staff wants you to look up at it on October 8 and see a big show of support for breast cancer survivors.

The hotel began selling sponsorships of pink light bulbs Thursday. For $10 each, a bulb will be installed on the roof of the Hilton where white light bulbs are currently.

By October 8, the hotel is hoping the entire roof will be pink. That's the day of the Surviving and Thriving Breast Cancer Awareness luncheon. The bulbs will stay up throughout October.

Light bulbs can be sponsored at the front desk. In addition, cards will be available to write a message in tribute to a someone or a group of people. Those cards will be displayed in the lobby.

Checks can be made payable to the Hilton. All the proceeds go towards Surviving and Thriving.
